Parent Council come up trumps again!

The picture below shows some of our fabulous Parent Council Representatives showing off their latest acquisition for the school, a full year group set of 75 waterproof suits for our infant classes.
This will be a valuable addition to the school resources because of the strong focus on outdoor learning and, as we all know, outdoor in Orkney can mean the occasional spot of drizzle.
Huge thanks must go to the Parent Council Representatives again for their tireless organisation of countless fundraising events and to everyone who supports their efforts. It does make a big different and we are very grateful.

A New Colourful Welcome at Papdale

Look out for the new colourful welcome awaiting when you visit our main reception.

As well as the new sign there is also a new notice board celebrating the successes of our children using newspaper clippings and other certificates presented to our children. 

Both Papdale School and our Parent Council are also very interested in your thoughts and opinions, positive or negative, so please use the return slips and post box located beside this new notice board to let us know what you think.

Eco Club deliver the Energy Saving Message

With the help of our Head Janitor, Mr Mackinnon and his car the Eco Club members were out and about delivering the winning posters in an Energy Saving poster competition for display in a number of locations across Kirkwall.
As you can see from the photos they got a nice warm reception wherever they went.

Well done Eco Club.
