P5/6S Eco Project

"5/6S were horrified to learn that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish.  This is only 31 years away when we will be about 41 years old.  As a part of Earth Hour 2019, we are looking at single-use plastics.  For homework this week, we are going to record how many single-use plastics we use each day.  Next week we will look at these and discuss ways we could cut this down."

Strider Visits to promote healthy home school transport options

Strider made a visit to Papdale on 7th March to promote walking to school. It started with the pop star treatment in the playground before school started with the children very excited to see him.
An assembly followed where it was revealed that Papdale was in the top ten schools in Scotland at promoting walking and other healthy home school trip options.
Strider was out at the front of the school again at the end of the school day to say goodbye to the children.
